NEW COMMITTEES, NEW ENERGY: PHILCHAMSG POWERS UP FOR MEMBER-DRIVEN PROJECTS

ree

PhilCham Singapore is charging into the second half of the year with renewed momentum, as it announces the formation of key committees dedicated to launching a series of multi-interest projects for its members. These committees—composed of passionate Filipino professionals and business leaders across various sectors—aim to turn bold ideas into impactful initiatives that reflect the diverse interests and evolving needs of the chamber’s members.

The new structure signals PhilCham’s commitment to inclusivity, collaboration, and innovation. From business development and professional growth, to culture, sports, and community engagement, each committee is set to champion programs that not only empower members but also strengthen the chamber’s presence as a dynamic and responsive organization.

The chamber will not fall short of leaders and talents. Everyone can expect initiatives that they can actively take part of. To respond more effectively to the evolving needs of its members, the organization formed specialized committees—each tasked with driving targeted initiatives that align with its broader mission. These newly created committees represent a bold step toward collaboration opportunities across sectors.

“Committees are where ideas become action,” said Benjamin Ong, PhilChamSG President. “It is a privilege to be part of a group, to help out. It’s a matter of the heart. Hearing you all, I am encouraged. We do this because we love PhilCham and I hope and encourage everyone to carry this unconditional love as we serve.”

Committees being formed, we can expect highly valuable and timely initiatives. These will include health, financial, and business-related talks, pro-bono legal missions, real estate and investment opportunities, community outreach, events with other organizations in Singapore, as well as updates on regulations impacting the Filipino community in Singapore. The committees will stand ready to respond to pressing needs of its members. For example, the Professional Services committee is planning to hold a seminar on Singapore law updates relevant to Filipinos – both businesses and human resource talents.

These committees serve as launchpads for action and as bridges between members, stakeholders, and partner organizations. With focused leadership and a clear mandate, they reflect a renewed energy within the organization—and a readiness to lead with purpose.

With new energy fueling the chamber’s direction, members can look forward to a robust calendar of events and opportunities designed to connect, inspire, and uplift. As PhilCham moves forward, it invites all members to take part in this exciting journey—where every voice matters, and every effort counts.
