The Philippine Chamber of Commerce in Singapore (PhilCham Singapore) is proud to support and participate in “Tapestry of Flowers: Community of Hope,” a meaningful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative led by Elpis @ Hideout, culminating in the presentation of completed art pieces to the Institute for Mental Health (IMH) this week.
The initiative traces back to November 2025, when Elpis @ Hideout brought together clients, partners, and overseas participants for a World Mental Health Day–themed CSR event held at Active Garden, Gardens by the Bay. Participants engaged in the expressive art of Flower Stamping and Pounding, a creative process used as a metaphor for resilience, healing, and hope.
The simple yet powerful message behind the artwork resonated deeply: Life will inevitably deal us hard knocks, but it is how we rise, move forward, and transform adversity into something meaningful that truly matters.Through the pounding and stamping of flowers, participants were reminded that even after hardship, beauty can emerge — and that life remains beautiful and worth living.
The completed art pieces were formally presented to the Female Prison Section of the Institute for Mental Health, where they will now be displayed at the lobby of the forensic wards, offering daily encouragement and reflection for inmates and visitors alike.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Germaine Lim, Elpis @ Hideout founder, shared:
“Yesterday marks the day we presented the finished art pieces to the Institute for Mental Health. It was a momentous occasion, filled with meaningful insight. We chose the art of Flower Stamping to show beauty out of ashes. Life will always deal us a hand we do not expect. We want people who look at the art pieces to know that dead things can come back to life and become a thing of beauty.”
PhilCham Singapore is honoured to stand alongside Elpis @ Hideout and fellow partners in advancing conversations around mental health, community support, and social impact, reinforcing the Chamber’s commitment to meaningful cross-sector collaboration beyond business.
